  1. Hello

I just want to say thank you. I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes 6 months ago. Im 23 (late developer as mum has it) and was diagnosed 1 month before I went travelling for 3 months. Im still in the honeymoon, which is not as described! While travelling I found control ok and I didn’t mind too much if I was a bit up and down (on holiday after all) being at home and living life is so much harder. I am determined not to let this beat me, iv always been a runner and im also training for a half marathon in September. Trying to get to grips with how exercise affects everything, having to eat when im not hungry and getting that panic when your mid way through a run that your going low is awful. Its been fab to read your blog, I live in South London im a trainee solicitor and definitely love to live and this blog is something I can really relate to. Thank you, Hannah.

  2. Hi Hannah!
So sorry for my tardy reply, thank you so much for your lovely comment! I imagine it’s taken some getting used to, seems like you’ve got a really good grip on it already! How is your running going? I always find that I’m ok when exercising but struggle in the few hours after when my blood drops. Thank you for taking time to read my ramblings, if you ever want to chat do email me and let me know how you’re getting on! x
